This year is kind of ridiculous in general. The usual suspects are there - and I can tell you with a lot of certainty who will win - but you were actually in 3 nominatable shows this year and were the stand-out performer in all 3. So, I don't believe that your incredulity is unreasonable. Knowing the performances you have on your roster I find it a little shocking myself. Karen Perlow said to me that the IRNE's are like airplane meals - everyone turns their nose up at them - but everyone is also pissed off when they don't get theirs. I was fairly pissed off on your behalf. Not that you need any more kudos from me.
ReplyDeleteKeep doing what you do. You elevate the status of every show you are in and while you may not be winning awards for that, you continue to be a necessary part of this community.
BTW: I'm sure I'm not the only person that reads this...
Oh Dear. These things are always strange. It's difficult not to get caught up in all the whys, but it's usually not a great path to do down. Don't cut off your ear, though. Keep making your art. You're a terrific actor.
